  8. This faq has been revamped to provide just the "faqs", less talk 
  9. and more rock.  Ready?

  11. 1.  How the hell do I get to atari.archive?

  13.     By order of preference:
  14.     1.  AFS (if you don't know what it is, you don't have it, forget I
  15.     mentioned it). In /afs/umich.edu/group/itd/archive/atari.
  16.  
  17.     2.  Gopher (Other gophers/North America/USA/Michigan/Merit/Software
  18.     Archives or Popular Gopher Servers/Software Archives at Michigan).
  19.  
  20.     3.  FTP - Be sure to check for mirrors that are closer to home. For
  21.     instance src.doc.ic.ac.uk (/computing/systems/atari/umich) and
  22.     wuarchive.wustl.edu (/mirrors/archive.umich.edu/atari).

  24.     4.  Mail - Send mail to atari@atari.archive.umich.edu with "help" in the
  25.     body to receive the help file.

  28. 2.  Uploads?

  30.     You bet we want 'em.  Via afs, cp into /afs/umich.edu/group/itd/archive
  31.     /atari/New.  Via ftp, ftp into atari/New (will not work at mirrors, note
  32.     this is NOT atari/Newitems, which is not writable).  Via gopher, 
  33.     impossible, see mail.  By mail,  uuencoded chunks to 
  34.     boydm@atari.archive.umich.edu.
